Experience
Elham started her additive manufacturing career with her Ph.D. at the University of Tehran in 2016 focusing on the “Development of novel Extrusion-based process for Additive Manufacturing of high-temperature metal alloys on semi-solid state“. During her Ph.D., she was a visiting researcher at the University of Twente, the Netherlands working on numerical studies of Friction Screw Extrusion Additive Manufacturing (FSEAM) of high-temperature aluminum alloys.
Currently, Elham is working with Hitachi Energy and is dedicated to finding additive manufacturing solutions for high voltage/energy applications. Here she is the project leader of metal AM-related projects and has the responsibilities included but is not limited to:
-
helping business units and product managers understand the benefit of AM in their products and how they can start with this technology,
-
writing the proposal to the head of research to get the funding and resources for the project,
-
managing and delivering the project from all aspects (analysis, resourcing, reporting, etc.),
-
presenting the results to different groups to show the advantages of this technology to other business units.
As an expert in her field, she can provide the following advisory services:
-
review drawings / 3D models of the metallic parts of each industry.
-
preparing a decision chart for them to apply to their products.
-
considering what is the percentage of parts suitable and beneficial for AM in comparison to whole metallic parts.
-
consultation concerning powder and process as well as required post-processing.
Elham’s application experience includes the following:
-
Industrial (general)
-
