Brabakaran

Brabakaran has 6 years of working experience in additive manufacturing working mostly with research institutes, universities, corporate companies, and OEMs.

 

While working with these organizations, he gained hands-on experience with technologies such as FDM, SLS, DMLS, SLA, DLP, MJF, and others.

 

He conducted nearly 100 projects for APAC and European customers as a consultant mostly including big industry players in the Automotive, Aerospace, Medical, Electronic, Tooling, Robotic and Lifestyle companies. While participating in these projects his work and deliverables included:

 

• preparing ROI calculations, Business case proposals, and Pre/Post consultation regarding cost per part analysis.

• working on R&D projects concerning material selection, evaluation, fine-tuning of material for additive manufacturing, product designing and testing.

• conducting process parameter editing for SLS and DMLS machines.

• preparing ISO documents.

 

He is also very experienced in using software products such as Magics, Siemens Unigraphics (NX), Solidworks, Cura, Autocad, Coral-cad and coding such as G-codes and C++.

 

Brabakran graduated from the Nanyang Polytechnic with a diploma in Biomedical Engineering and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) with a degree in material sciences and engineering. While with NTU he won the silver award from Nanyang Technological University for his work on using additive manufacturing.

 

After that, he worked on post-graduate studies at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in Additive Manufacturing as well as working as a researcher with the National University of Singapore (NUS) with medical and aerospace companies.
