Ahmad A

Ahmad is an independent 3D Printing Consultant with more than 6 years of experience in Additive Manufacturing. He also owned his own FDM manufacturing company (service bureau).

 

As a 3D printing expert, he has worked and studied extensively across various types of 3D printing technologies. These include FDM, MJF, DLP, SLA and SLS. While working with these technologies, he looked beyond the general manufacturing possibilities themselves and gained in-depth knowledge about:

 

• the most suitable manufacturing method for the application under consideration.

• the required pre- and post-processing.

• the software to be used to achieve the best outcomes.

• the investigation and selection of printing materials.

 

Ahmad advised Universities (e.g. TH Köln, RWTH Aachen, FH Aachen, TU Dortmund, Fresenius) as well as Automotive companies (e.g. Volkswagen, Autokabel) in regards to their 3D printing projects. This included project planning of new prototypes, investigation of suitable print materials, as well as execution of the pilot phase.

 

Furthermore, he worked with the Fraunhofer Institute and the University of Applied Sciences Cologne on the development of a grant-eligible research project, which included raising EU research funds.

 

Having worked with a 3D printer manufacturer in the capacity of Lead Quality Assurance, Ahmad also acquired great expertise in the design and production of 3D printing machines. This has enabled him to stand-up customer support, quality management, technical training, installation and maintenance functions for the European subsidiary of this global equipment manufacturer.
